Step 1Attach the PicoSwitch and Pololu Serial Controller to part E. The PicoSwitch is held on with a zip tie.Insert the toggle switch into the safety hole, make sure that the notch is at the "FIRE" position. The "UP" is also marked "on" Do not tighten the screw all the way or you could bend the circuit board. Use the smallest screw, the 2-56 to attach the Pololu to Part E.
Step 2Connect the pan servo wire to the Servo Controller in port 0, the one nearest the power connector. Make sure the yellow/white wire is towards the inside of the board.Connect the tilt servo to the #2 connector on the Pololu.
Step 3Connect one power lead to the bottom of the Pololu servo controller. Make sure RED goes to VIN and BLACK goes to GND.
Step 4Connect the other power lead to the top of the Pololu where the servos are plugged in, make sure RED is in the middle and BLACK on the edge.
Step 5Connect the serial cable to the Pololu servo controller, the GREEN wire connects to COM on the servo side and the YELLOW wire on the other, nearest the screw.
Step 6Connect one wire from the gun to the PicoSwitch. The other wire solders to the safety switch. Solder the other lead on the safety switch to a wire that connects to the PicoSwitch.
Step 7Use the zip ties to tidy up all the wires, there are several extra zip tie holes that you can route the wires along. Make sure they won't get caught up in the gears.
Step 8The battery pack can be put anywhere, you may want to put a power switch on it to make it easier to turn the circuit on/off. |
